默认 beam splice with thermal break

beam splice with thermal break
i have a situation where a steel beam is cantilevering from inside to outside, and the architect wants a thermal break. so, i was thinking of creating a splice at the exterior wall with endplates on each side, a material such as a structural expansion bearing between the plates, and bolting them together to create a bolted moment connection. the shear would have to be transferred by bending in the bolts across the width of the gap between plates., but the loads aren't all that great.
any thoughts??
why not just use a 1/8" korolath plate. we regularly use this for thermal breaks.
have you guys got these where you are ?
i don't mean to hijack the thread but i have been wondering how this is done for cantilevered concrete balcony's? it must be a common situation. thanks.
