connections for timber frame at roof eave
i have a building that has an existing built-in gutter which is "hung" on the wall. we want to remove the gutter, install a new frame (looks like this < ) with the 2 members attached to boards along the wall. my question is: how should i connect member to member (bolted next to each other or top 2 by 6 resting directly on bottom 2 by 4) and member to board along wall. thanks in advance.
