design loads for in service bridge shoring
i am involved in timber bridge repair project that started out as a deck overlay replacement and is turning into a major rebuild of portions of the superstructure. significant decay has been found in some of the timber beams requiring them to be replaced. i am recommending temporary shoring of the structure as the owners insist that the bridge cannot be closed, but that at least one of the two lanes remain open to traffic. i cannot find prescribed design loads for this temporary shoring in asce 7-05. does anyone know where to find shoring design loads?

you should be using aashto, since its a bridge.
you have to calculate the loads in the shoring based upon your shoring configuration.
you shoud have a copy of the aashto specifications for temporary works.
