light gage c-stud frame
i have a 3-d frame which will be constructed with light gage metal c-studs. where two horizontal members will tie into a vertical member (kind of like horizontal blocking intersecting a vertical stud), should i use the same screw holes in the vertical member for attaching the connecting clips attaching to either side? or should i somehow offset the clips to avoid using the same screw holes?
the common metal c-stud framing details for blocking i located from some manufacturers appear to show using the same holes, but never really state that.
