live load reduction formula for steel pick up beam
i have a steel beam which carries 3 stories of wood framing and a metal deck with a concrete slab. the wood walls are load bearing for a residential condo. what is the live reduction allowed in this case using ibc 2006 for the steel beam. any tips will be greatly appreciated.

look in asce 7-05, sections 4.8 (floors) and 4.9 (roofs).
if you have snow on the roof, i would not reduce that since it is a uniform that is global to the structure, not like a floor live load.
