matching corrugations
i have erected a steel curvete. there are three pieces of steel to make 68 ft with 4.5 in corrugations.these members fit very badly,the laps dont match very well and there is a half to one inch gap on the overlays.does anyone know how serviceable the structure would be.
you have not given enough information to determine serviceability. besides, the forum can only guide you to make your own assessment...we can't do that for you since we don't know all the parameters.
what is the purpose of the structure, what loads are on expected (including wind loads), what are the steel properties, and has it been in use before and moved to this location? how are the joints done? why is the fit bad?
