pt flat plate cracks
for a post-tensioned flat plate condo, i am coming up with a list of allowances that will include allowance for epoxy injection of cracks. pti has a publication "restraint cracks and their mitigation in unbonded post-tensioned building structures", that estimates the length of cracks requiring repair at .009 feet per square feet of slab area for slabs up to 3 levels above the foundation, where restraint issues are the most prevalent. however, i am thinking that repairing the cracks might be a lot more appropriate for structures such as garages, where water-tightness is important. my question is, do you encounter a lot of cracks in pt flat plate condo structures, and do you generally do anything about them?
in none of the pt projects i've been involved with has cracking been an issue. with a condo project, i would think that any of the cracks would likely be obscurred by finishes.
