references - stiffened seat/bracket
folks,
are there any good references, design examples for a stiffened beam seat or a bracket plate showing what things need to be checked?
as i visualize it, the stiffener is under compression and the seat plate to column flange is in tension. right? are there other things to be checked?
salmon and johnson's (sp?) book, all day.
