residential slab on ground design
i am currently designing slabs on ground in accordance with the current australian standard, which is generally ok. the problem comes when i need to design a large residential slab. the standard points to an engineering design without giving an appropriately detailed method.
i have looked at a couple of computer programs, but these seem to be more conservative than the standard, which doesn't help me design a cost effective slab for my clients. can anyone help with a reference or a computer program?
my main problem is designing for ground heave in the order of 70mm.
