sx and ix same for hss 2x2
i was amazed to see sx and ix both equal to 0.776 for hss 2x2x1/4
check out our whitepaper library.
that is because your units are inches. s=i/c, and for a 2" deep symmetrical section, c=1. divide "anything" by 1, and you get "anything". no reason to be amazed.
go smaller and sx is greater than ix
the magic of strength of materials. lol
