ubc 2000 seismic code
as an equipment manufacture whose equipment is supported by the building structure, we are asked to have our drawings stamped by a local pe for local building approval.
i am hearing many comments on the current changes to the seismic requirements. there seems to be alot of local inspector interpretation to the new "code". we currently use ubc 1997 section 16. are there any good reference text for the seismic load changes?

there are presently two volumes of the seismic design manuals (sdm) volume i and ii) published by icbo which offer examples and solutions to problems using the provisions of chapter 16 of the 97 ubc.
