ubc code for building's period
hi,
does somebody have a ubc at hand? would you be kind to let me know the formula of calculating the period of a tall building? thanks a lot.

the quick way is t = 0.1 x n
where n = the number of stories.
the method a (approximate) equation is:
t = ct * (hn)^(3/4)
where
ct = 0.035 for steel moment frames
ct = 0.030 for concrete moment frames
ct = 0.020 for other buildings
there's also method b (rayleigh) if you want more accuracy.
