waler design check
i have been given the responsibilty of spot checking design plans (specifically temporary sheeting designs). although the design consultant who prepares these plans has a fairly good track record of internal review before releasing plans, mistakes do happen. my question: where can i find a good reference for checking the adequacy of steel walers used in sheeting designs. i have sufficient experience in checking soil loads, sheeting sections, etc. , but the manual method i always use for checking walers is too time consuming. thanks for any input.
