wind engineering
i am trying to research wind effects that occur behind a building on the leeward side. for tall, long structures there will be vortices set up which will create problems for traffic and pedestrians for a certain distance behind the building in storm conditions.
does anyone have experience, direction of advice to start me off?
thx

"guide to the use of the wind load provisions of asce 7" published by asce has an extensive list of references, including the following:
wind effects on buildings - t.v. lawson(science publishers, london, england)
wind engineering - h. liu (prentice-hall)
the marilyn monroe effect (the seven year itch 1955)
some research and dynamic modeling of the induced vortices was being do at the von karman institue of fluid dynamics, brussles, in the late 70's and early 80's.
