installation of add-in
i have access to an add-in test product. there are several other dlls that the add-in requires. and all of these add-in dlls are inside the product's folder. i have registered the main add-in dll with regsvr32.
but the add-in doesn't show up in the add-ins manager in solidworks.
so my question is does this add-in needs to be in a special folder inside the solidworks installation directory or can it be anywhere in my hard-drive? or in other words how will solidworks locate my add-in dll?
besides registering the com ad-in dll with regsvr32 do i need to use any other tools?

it can be anywhere you like. solidworks finds it using the registry keys that your dll should add to the registry on registering it, presuming you have created your plugin correctly.
