dimension problems
hi,
please take a look at the following code:
code:
oddbobjectid iddim,iddim2,idline,idline2,idref,idref2;
oddbobjectid idblock;;
oddbdatabase* pdb = getdocument()->m_pdb;
// create an empty block
{
oddbblocktableptr ptable = pdb->getblocktableid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
oddbblocktablerecordptr pblock = oddbblocktablerecord::createobject();
pblock->setname("original_block");
idblock = ptable->add(pblock);
}
// create the first block reference to that block
{
oddbblockreferenceptr pblockref = oddbblockreference::createobject();
oddbblocktablerecordptr pactiveblock = pdb->getactivelayoutbtrid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
pblockref->setblocktablerecord(idblock);
idref = pactiveblock->appendoddbentity(pblockref);
}
// create the second block reference to that block
{
oddbblockreferenceptr pblockref2 = oddbblockreference::createobject();
oddbblocktablerecordptr pactiveblock = pdb->getactivelayoutbtrid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
pblockref2->setblocktablerecord(idblock);
idref2 = pactiveblock->appendoddbentity(pblockref2);
}
// create 2 lines and 2 dimension in the block
{
oddbblocktablerecordptr pblock = idblock.safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
oddblineptr pline = oddbline::createobject();
pline->setstartpoint(odgepoint3d(0.0,0.0,0.0));
pline->setendpoint(odgepoint3d(100.0,0.0,0.0));
pline->setcolorindex(3);
oddbrotateddimensionptr pdim = oddbrotateddimension::createobject();
pdim->setxline1point(odgepoint3d(0.0,0.0,0.0));
pdim->setxline2point(odgepoint3d(100.0,0.0,0.0));
pdim->usesettextposition();
pdim->ettextposition(odgepoint3d(50.0,50.0,0.0));
pdim->sethorizontalrotation(0.0);
oddblineptr pline2 = oddbline::createobject();
pline2->setstartpoint(odgepoint3d(100.0,0.0,0.0));
pline2->setendpoint(odgepoint3d(100.0,-100.0,0.0));
pline2->setcolorindex(3);
oddbrotateddimensionptr pdim2 = oddbrotateddimension::createobject();
pdim2->setxline1point(odgepoint3d(100.0,0.0,0.0));
pdim2->setxline2point(odgepoint3d(100.0,-100.0,0.0));
pdim2->usesettextposition();
pdim2->settextposition(odgepoint3d(150.0,-50.0,0.0));
pdim2->sethorizontalrotation(90.0);
pdim2->setdimlinepoint(odgepoint3d(150.0,-50.0,0.0));
pdim2->setrotation(3.14/2);
pblock->appendoddbentity(pline);
pblock->appendoddbentity(pline2);
pblock->appendoddbentity(pdim);
pblock->appendoddbentity(pdim2);
pdim2->recomputedimblock();
pdim->recomputedimblock();
}
// explode the first block reference in the model space
{
oddbobjectidarray ids;
oddbblocktablerecordptr pblock = pdb->getactivelayoutbtrid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
oddbblockreferenceptr pblockref = idref.safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
pblockref->explodetoblock(pblock,&ids);
}
// explode the second block reference in the model space
{
oddbobjectidarray ids;
oddbblocktablerecordptr pblock = pdb->getactivelayoutbtrid().safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
oddbblockreferenceptr pblockref2 = idref2.safeopenobject(oddb::kforwrite);
pblockref2->explodetoblock(pblock,&ids);
}
the result is that the newly created dimensions in the modelspace point to the same anonymous dimension blocks as the dimensions in the original block.
and (even in autocad) if you move one dimension, the other dimension is also automatically moved.
is this a bug in dwgdirect or i'm doing something wrong?
thanks in advance for any help.
best regards
chudomir
situation when 2 dimensions reference the same block is valid. dimension has a flag singlereferencedblock (dxf gc 70 bit 32) to handle this. in autocad if dimension entity is cloned the clone has this flag off. in dwgdirect - it's copied from source entity. this is bug which is easy to fix.
but the flag remains on in source entity and it's a problem in autocad too.
in autocad:
- draw a dimension
- make a block from it having chosen "retain" option.
(cloned dimension is put into the block and source entity remains in model space) dimension in block has the flag off and source entity - still on.
- insert the block
- edit dimension in model space
- view/regen all
both dimensions are changed.

thanks, sergey, we'll try it.
