just a little question about setuplayoutviews
just a little question about setuplayoutviews
if i use setuplayoutviews with a specific layout, and i render the drawing, are all the layouts rendered/loaded or only the specific one? because we are trying to figure if that could be a cause of slowness when loading...
also, are the layers that are blocked/off rendered? if so is there a way to prevent them from rendering, to gain some speed there...

if a drawing is opened in partial mode only accessed objects are loaded. else the whole drawing is loaded.
in dd 1.10-1.11 only ac2004-ac2005 drawings really can be loaded partially. this will be fixed in 1.12 to allow partial loading of r13+ dwg files.
dxf can't be loaded partially.
only active layout is processed while rendering.
frozen/off layers are not rendered but to determine if an entity is on frozen layer it needs to be accessed.
redraws can be speed up by using device dependent cache. like gl lists in new device sample (gl device with caching)
