hello,
i use the technic similar to odvectorizeex to display autocad drawing in our application
here's the code for my simple device class:

this worked fine with 1.13. when linked with dd 1.14.02 libraries the program is crashing in draw() function above. it gives me float divide by zero exception, and the assembly code shows that it's happening in
odgsbasevectorizeview::linetypegenerationcriteria
function.
any ideas?

most probably you forget to call odgsdevice:nsize() before updating the device. in odvectorizeex sample it is called in exgssimpledevice::exgssimpledevice().

to figure out the rectangle needed i use the following:

odgsview* pview = m_pdevice->viewat(0);
odabstractviewpeptr(pview)->zoomextents(pview);
odgeboundblock3d boundblock;
odabstractviewpeptr(pview)->viewextents(pview, boundblock);
-----------------------------------------------
after that i make rectangle from boundblock and call
m_pdevice->onsize(rect)
m_pdevice->update()
-----------------------------
the program failing on zoomextents() function, and only in the debug build (release build works fine). probably uninitialized variable somewhere in your library.
anyway i put onsize() call with arbitary rectangle in the wsgssimpledevice constructor and it did fixed the problem.

"program failing in debug build only, release build works ok" sounds very strange. most probably, i guess, the program doesn't failing - it generates assert, which indicates some problem. do you have similar asertion fail in odamfcapp sample, zoom extents code? if no, then, most probably, the problem is on your side.

i was able to duplicate this problem in dwglib 2.0.2 where it crashes in debug build only. please see thread division by "zero debug build crash " dated september 25, 2006
