nx and asme y14.5-2009 - dimensioning & tolerancing
does anyone know when nx plans to include the new dimensioning & tolerancing spec in their program? i've been told that nx7 is set to be released this summer and was curious if anyone knew if it would be included.
i copied your question to the ugs: unigraphics (ug/nx) thread.
my guess is no, since nx7 development started about 18 months before the intended release date.

this is the official position from our (siemens plm) drafting product manager:
with the recent release of the asme y14.5-2009 standard we understand that many customers will begin to review and consider adopting the changes that have been introduced. siemens plm is confident that the standards coverage we provide today in nx will continue to provide customers with the standards compliancy they need to get their job done. work is underway to determine changes that need to be made to satisfy this latest update. we welcome input from those customers who have assessed how the new standard will impact their business requirements. your feedback will help us to determine and set priorities.

that's a funny and self-contradictory statement. they are confident the program is compliant, but are reviewing changes to will need to be made to make them compliant? lame.
