aisc design guide 1 - coulmn base plates
i have aisc's design guide 1 - column base plates copyrighted in 2003 by aisc. this is based off of allowable stress design with examples of lrfd. does anyone know if aisc plans on revising this to incorporate allowable strength design?

they are in the process of writing the 3rd edition of this dg. none are even available online right now.
i figured i'd see you on this thread... so do you have any idea as to when they are going to be releasing the 3rd edition? from reading through some of the posts, i think i have confused myself on the difference between asd89 and asd05...
yeah, i'm off today (sick), and bored out of my mind!
aisc told me that they don't even have an eta for the revamped version of dg01. i suspect that a) they pulled it for liability reasonas and b) like many of us, they don't know what the heck to do with the appendix d provisions.

no, it isn't really too bad. in fact, i am beginning to think that i am well suited to idleness. occasionally i get the urge to do something useful, but if i wait a bit, the feeling usually goes away.
