【转帖】hatch area
hatch area
hatch area
i have a set of polylines that enclose an area. in this area i would like to place a hatch. i have some records in a table that describe these lines by listing their x and y coordinates.
how do i use this data as my outer boundry with the directdwg activex control.
i have everything else coded, but i cannot figure this one out. i have looked through the samples, and have found nothing.
can someone please share some real world code? i am sure someone must know how to do this...
thanx,

this time we have some limitation in toolkit, so it is possible to create the solid hatch only and append outer loop only. the sample code you can find at the bootom of this message. it could give you some idea what should be done. i hope standard hatch patterns will be supported soon :-)

dim hatchobj as iacadhatch
dim patternname as string
dim patterntype as long
dim bassociativity as boolean
' define the hatch
patternname = "solid"
patterntype = achatchpatterntypepredefined
bassociativity = true
' create the associative hatch object
set hatchobj = odadoc.database.modelspace.addhatch(patterntype, patternname, bassociativity)
' create the outer loop for the hatch.
' an arc and a line are used to create a closed loop.
dim outerloop(0 to 1) as iacadentity
dim center(0 to 2) as double

dim startangle as double
dim endangle as double
center(0) = 5: center(1) = 3: center(2) = 0
radius = 30
startangle = 0
endangle = 3.141592
set outerloop(0) = odadoc.database.modelspace.addarc(center, radius, startangle, endangle)
set outerloop(1) = odadoc.database.modelspace.addline(outerloop(0).st artpoint, outerloop(0).endpoint)
' append the outer loop to the hatch object, and display the hatch
hatchobj.appendouterloop (outerloop)
end sub
