i use dwgdirect 1.08 for create simple viewing application and have now some questions.
1. raster images attached to dwg are shown as frames (in odamfcapp too). and procedure "findfile" doesn't get image file name to resolve path to file.
2. ttf fonts are shown as contours too. can i get filled text?

1. raster image can be displayed as frame if the image is not found or if it's of unsupported format. see exsystemservices::loadrasterimage(const odstring& name).
to load other than bmp raster you need jpeg-6b, snowbound or some other raster library.
2. filled ttf text will be available in next release.

loadrasterimage() is placed to odsystemservices to provide a hook for dd clients to use raster library they have.
exsystemservices contains sample code illustrating jpeg-6b and rastermaster usage.

i would recommend also the microsoft gdi+ library, if your binary application is needed to run under windows only.
you have very easy access to the various formats and their conversion to hbitmap or whatever you need.

but i already attach our own application to load raster and convert it to bitmap.
moreover user should have gdi+ dll on his mashine. or we have to redistribute and install it.
