i encountered a problem when plotting ver 2000/2004 dwgs from a layout. i found that very complex graphics in the model that are shown in the viewport of a layout does not plot. when i zoom in the viewport model to a smaller area it then plots. the border in the paperspace has no problem. when i plot the model the whole drawing will plot ok. does anyone have any clues? i used the sample 8thfloor.dwg that comes with autocad 2005.

mfcapp is a sample, it don't support all plotting functionality yet. i dont know what problem you have, possible mfcapp don't support scale factor and xy offset. i am working under preview\printing now, it is possible that plotting will be better in next release.

i opened the drawing in autocad, changed the viewport layer to plot, and now the contents of the viewport appears in the preview and plots - but doesn't show the viewport polyline, which is a six sided polygon. however, when i zoom in a smaller area in the viewport the plot of the viewport now appears about 1/10 the original size with top-left justification.. set the viewport layer back to no plot and the zoomed viewport appears correct in size.
i look forward to the next version.
