dwf import
i am using the dwf import and everything seems to work as it should. i've noticed when i render the imported file there is a rectanlgle filled with the background color of the original blank dwg file. i assume this is some default entity or maybe the paper space? can someone tell me exactly what it is, and if there is a way i can change it's size or remove it all together. all i want to do is be able to render the dwf without having a big rectangle in the middle of it.

what layout was published - modelspace or paperspace?

i had the same results when i test it at first and i think it was with both modelspace and paperspace dwf files from autocad.
i cannot reproduce this with current (development) version,
what version do you use?
could you post a sample dwf file with the problem?
now i can't get it to do it. i was just going through things in a hurry just looking at what capabilities there were and it was one of the things that i noticed. but i can't remeber which sample it was in and maybe it was in the old release now that i think about it. i double checked it with the latest available on the site and the odamfcappdll.exe sample and it appears to be working fine. i'll have to get together all of our test files and run it through them once to see if i can reproduce it again.
but i do have a sample that it does not display or convert correctly but i'll gather some samples up of those and start another thread. but the attached one you'll see that the true type text in the titleblock is too long and it appears that true type text in general in the toolkits do not take up the exact same physical space as in autocad for both dwg and dwf.

this is happening when i create a blank dwg file ( ctrl n ) in the odamfcapp sample app, and import any dwf file using the latest 1.11.01 release. when i vectorize the resulting file there is a rectangle in the middle of the drawing filled with the current background color. i assume this is some entiity created with the original new file ( ctrl n ).
i think that is the default background for the papersize that is probably 8.5x11 by the looks of it on mine. if i import in a dwf6 and then save it as a dwg then and bring the dwg back into autocad the papersize is correct then. so it looks like they just aren't updating it in the display.
i also noticed that after setting the active layout on test sample app that you also have to hit the vectorize 1 again to get it to redisplay properly. so you might want to try that first and see if it fixes it.

yes it is a bug in dwf import, now it is fixed.

you are right.
but these are the problems of the sample,
so they are not of the top priority
