i would like to convert shx type font in dwg file into windows true type font, so i can display with windows true type font.
is this possible to convert into windows true type font?
then please send me your knowledge.
i have developed the dwg_viewer in reference.
if you need substitute some font you can override oddbhostappservices::getpreferablefont(...). default emplementation repeats the acad font maping mechanism and uses oddbhostappservices::getfontmapfilename() for getting map file.
(by default acad uses "acad.fmp"). you also can override getfontmapfilename() method for return own map file.

i don't know if this helps you, but autocad comes with ttf versions of the .shx fonts shipped with autocad.
simplex.shx has simplex_.ttf, romans.shx has romans_.ttf, etc.
