solaris examples
solaris examples
has anyone managed to successfully compile the examples on solaris? i'm using sun's c++ compiler 5.3 with no luck.
i'm defining oda_sun_sparc as specified in the instructions.
are there any specific options that need to be set on the compiler command line or environment in order to get this to work?
when compiling the odreadex example, i get the following errors...
"dbdumper.cpp", line 15: error: dbdumper::dumpheader(oddbdatabase*, int&) is not a static data member.
"dbdumper.cpp", line 15: error: unexpected type name "oddbdatabase" encountered.
"dbdumper.cpp", line 15: error: pdb is not defined.
"dbdumper.cpp", line 15: error: ostream is not a member of std.
"dbdumper.cpp", line 15: error: os is not defined.

dwgdirect is being used successfully on solaris by other oda members. have you taken a look at the sample makefile that is included under projectfiles/unix in the nonlibs archive? if that does not help, please send more details about this problem to and we can assist you with it (please include your makefile or compiler settings).
