what do autocad color codes / names mean?
what do autocad color codes / names mean?
i have a set of autocad layers which refer to color names such as:
aci 1
aci 50
and so on. i assume that there is some pattern to this and that someone else has worked it out. it would be very much appreciated if someone could tell me the secret,

ps is this the right forum for such a quewtion?
do you mean strings displayed in some layer dialog by "color names"?
aci is abreviation for autocad color index.
(the color in acad can be specified by index in standard palette, by rgb or by color book and color name).
aci 1 is color with index 1 (it's red).
