helical & spiral staairs
hi there, i need some help in design stairs with helical and spirl shapes, rc design for sure,
i solved it with sap2000, but i cant understand the results well, i dont know how to calculate the reinforcement needded to resist shear and torsion. i hope some one who can tells me .

i downloaded a spreadsheet sometime ago that is supposed to solve the spiral staircase problem. i have not had the occasion to use it as yet, so i can't vouch for its accuracy. however, if you have already solved it in sap2k, this might give you a cross-check since you mentioned you're having difficulty in interpreting the results.
you have a freely downloadable worksheet for the design of rc rectangular sections subject to shear plus torsion according to the aci 318 95 code in the mathcad collaboratory.
