unresolved external compiling with msvc 2005
i have previously been using dwgdirect 1.14.01 with vc 2003 for many months with no problems.
i am porting my app to vc 2005, so i downloaded the 1.14.02 vc 2005 files.
i now get the following compile error:
error lnk2019: unresolved external symbol "public: wchar_t * __thiscall odwstring::getbuffersetlength(int)"
(?getbuffersetlength@odwstring@@qaepa_wh@z) referenced in function "class odwstring __cdecl odstringtowidechar(char const *,unsigned int)" (?odstringtowidechar@@ya?avodwstring@@pbdi@z) odfilebuf.obj
yes, i have dd_vc8md_root.lib included in my project dependancies.
anyone out there have any suggestions?
perhaps the problem is with wchar_t treated as built-in type by default in vc8
in dd this option is turned off (same as before).

me too. it's working fine now with that set to 'no'
i'm trying to move to dwgdirect 2.1.0 and the same sort of stupidity is occuring again.
oda are you listening? we need a set of libraries compiled with wchar_t as a native type. it is not possible for us (i.e. all the users of dwgdirect out here) to arbitrarily change our compiler flags to make you happy.
in the next update it will be possible to compile client applications with /zc:wchar_t+
