does any one know how to dump the 鈥楴otes鈥?and 鈥楻eference documents鈥?that could be attached to entities? in autocad you can find those properties in extended data tab of the entity properties dialog.
the 鈥楴otes鈥?have the class name of aecdbtextnote and dxf name of aec_text_note.
the 鈥楻eference documents鈥?have the class name of aecdbrefdoc and dxf name of aec_ref_doc.
both aecdbtextnote and aecdbrefdoc belong to the omf library.

i think, aec[*]-classes/objects are only definied in adt and are non-autocad-elements. aec-objects are in autocad proxie/zombie-elements. to use this elements, you need the adt-api.
to get xdata, you can use:
(1) object.getxdata appname, xdatatype, xdatavalue
or if stored your information in extensiondirectories you must use
(2) object.getextensiondictionary
(3) or/and you must iterate through the rootdictionarycontainer and xrecords.
but it's not easy to analyse these informations. these informations mostly in special use by an application (example adt,map,special applications)

since you mentioned that those classes/objects need the adt api, then where can i get those apis? does the adtdirect beta contain them?
anyway i was successful in reading the binary contents using custom filler with the dxfout() method. i managed also to decrypt the contents. however i prefer if there is a ready toolkit for this.

the adtdirect beta should be a rebuild of object modeling framework (omf). the omf is autodesk's adt-api (have a look ).
i think, in adtdirect you hould find this classes. you will found this lib. in the download member-section.

aecdbtextnote and aecdbrefdoc objects
were not included in 0.5.* releases.
they will be included in next version of adtdirect
that will follow dd 1.13.
