i'm having problems with exporting a large amount of data to dwg r12. the file created by dwgdirect can be read again by dwgdirect without problem. however reading with autocad lt 2008 fails.
as i'm writing attributes, each item is written as a block and block reference meaning the file is very large.
i have a feeling the problem is related to the size of the file. if i export my dataset as two equal halves then there is no problem. unfortunately, as 35mb unzipped, and 8 mb zipped, it's too large to submit to this forum. can someone suggest how i submit this file for comment?

ftp logon problems
hi
we're having problems logging onto the ftp server. we get the message:
500 oops: cannot change directory:/home/clients/[username]
for two different accounts. i can access the member area of the website without problems though. can anyone help?

i still can't log into the ftp site using the username and password i use for the oda members site.
although, i'm now getting a simple "530 login incorrect" message.
i know the login is correct as i needed to log on to post this message! can anyone help please?

sorry, i didn't notice your reply, and there were no notification for some reason.
i looked at your file, and it seems to be quite correct.
probably autocad just has a limitation on the number of blocks in a r12 block table. it is a very ancient format after all.
