is there a way of interrupting dwg/dxf file loading?

drawing regen/redraw has such a possibility - 'regenabort()' callbacks, is there a similar mechanism for loading?

such possibility exists. while loading a file meterprogress() function is called from time to time. you can throw exception from this function. look at odamfcapp sample. if while loading a file you press escape key you get a warning message box from the following function (odamfcapp.cpp):
code:
/************************************************************************/
/* progress meter override */
/************************************************************************/
void codamfcappapp::meterprogress()
{
int noldpercent = m_npercent;
m_npercent = int( ( double(m_nprogresspos++) / double(m_nprogresslimit)) * 100 );
if(noldpercent!=m_npercent)
{
cstring str;
str.format(_t("%s %d"), m_msg, m_npercent);
cmainframe* pwnd = (cmainframe*)getmainwnd();
pwnd->m_wndstatusbar.setpanetext(0, str);
msg msg;
while(:

eekmessage(&msg, pwnd->m_hwnd, wm_keyup, wm_keyup, 1))
{
bool bdup = false;
if(msg.wparam == vk_escape && !bdup)
{
bdup = true;
str.format(_t("are you sure you want to terminate\n%s ?"), m_msg);
if(::afxmessagebox(str, mb_yesno|mb_iconquestion)==idyes)
{
throw userbreak();
}
}
}
}
}

throw userbreak() doesn't work in v2.4.2?
hi,
i just noticed that my code to abort file loading via throw userbreak() doesn't work anymore: the program throws an exception, but continues to load (while throwing exceptions...).
just for testing i replaced userbreak() with oderror(enofilename), and this works: one error message, and the program stops.
is this a problem related to the new version (2.4.2)?
