memory leak
memory leak
i am getting a memory leak and i think it is because i am not calling release on the oddbdatabaseptr object. i tried calling in my onclosedocument(...) event but then i get an exception in the smartptr.h file at line 220:

where should i call release?

after searching this site, i noticed that some of the other members have had experience with this same problem.
what, if anything, is the fix?

you needs to call release() before oduninitialize() to avoid an exception.
