hello,
reading a string from dxf, which are containing "^" .
could you tell me what string "^x" mean, where x - is any symbol.
how does dwgdirect convert it?
do you use this algorithm(for convertion) in 1.14 version or early?
i'm using 1.14 - 2.6.1 version dwgdirect and vc6.0

i found an answer.
look at this:
"ascii control characters in dxf files
saveas handles ascii control characters in text strings by expanding the
character into a caret (^) followed by the appropriate letter. for example, an
ascii control-g (bel, decimal code 7) is written as ^g. if the text itself
contains a caret character, it is expanded to caret, space (^). open and insert
perform the complementary conversion."
do you use this algorithm in 1.14 version or early?
^x in dxf format signifies character from 1 to 0x20, encoded as ^ followed with 'a'+character-1

sorry, but i don't have a clear idea about library.
does dwgdirect 1.14 (and older) do this conversion?
and there is no need an implementation a similar algorithm in my application.

there isn't any comments :-)
and it corrupt string data.
