mj female to male j
this may sound totally dumb, but i need jam nuts for 6mm rod ends on a strut i'm designing at work. the rod ends have m6 x 1.0 male threads. i was having a lot of trouble trying to find m6 x 1.0 mil/ams/nas spec jam nuts. my project engineer told me that mj thread nuts will thread onto the rod ends, and to go with them. is this true? i think it may work since only the minor diameter increases for male j-series threads. please let me know if this will work before i look like a fool at my cdr on the count of my project engineer's call. thanks.

we don't use too many metric nuts and bolts, but perhaps these guys have them. we buy a zillion nuts and bolts from them.
