how can i create a table template?
is there any way i can save an excel table of information as a solidworks table template (.sldbtpt) - i think that's the file extension. i need to enter this info on a drawing using the "general table" insert tool.
i don't want to manually type all the information in the drawing "general table". i also don't want to cut and paste the table into the drawing because it floats around on the drawing. it will not lock onto the drawing.
can this be done with a macro to create the table template from excel?? if so, please please provide.

thanks for the very quick response. although i have a problem getting to the attachment. at the bottom of your forum screen, it states: "you do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post."

guys, i got the macro downloaded but now have problems running it in solidworks. the error is in the "available references". there shows some missing references. missing are solidworks libraries and excel 12.0 object library. please and let me know how to handle this if possible. i have the drawing open and excel table selected. nothing happens when i click the macro button.
