默认 【转帖】switch orientation when using swmodel.selectloop

switch orientation when using swmodel.selectloop
i am trying to select a rectangle by selecting the first edge then using the .selectloop method, but the loop that is being selected is not in relation to the current veiw nor to the current sketch/plane.
how can i switch the orientation of the loop?
i can select each edge individually but that is much slower when during the running of this program it selects around 50 rectangles.
thank you for your time
please explain "but the loop that is being selected is not in relation to the current veiw nor to the current sketch/plane"
there is only one possible loop for any given edge.
sorry i guess that's a little ambiguous.
i've attached 2 files to help explain.
the first one (code selection.jpg) shows what the code is selecting.
if i stop the program at this point and manually select the yellow orientation arrow, it changes to what i would like to be selected. (manual selecteion.jpg)
i cannot seem to find a way to set the default orientation and it does not appear to be affected by the view, as i have tried other views and have the same result.
i assumed that it would, by default, be parrallel with the current sketch/plane, but apparently this was not so, and i have not been able to find a way to change this.
hope that helps, thanks.

right, basically all you have to do is select the manipulator (the yellow thing as you call it) after calling selectloop, using selectbyid2... the trick is you need to know the exact position of the manipulator on the line, or the name of the manipulator.
unfortunately i do not know the naming convension of the flipping manipulator, and the position it appears at is different depending on the edge... so you have 2 options, find out the naming convension so you can do this:
bresult = selmgr.selectbyid2("the name", "manipulator", 0, 0, 0, false, 0, 0) nothing, )
or find the position it appears at some how so you can do this:
bresult = selmgr.selectbyid2("unknown", "manipulator", v(0), v(1), v(2), false, 0, 0)
ps. you can force find the location on an edge line by firstly getting the edge object using getselectedobject6(), or whatever you want, and the calling getendvertex and getstartvertex and running every point between the 2 into the selectbyid2 statement and checking the bresult for successs.
ya i knew about the manipulator, i was just hoping there was a nicer way.
i'll try to parse through each point and look for success.
thanks for the help.
