hi hari,
are you sure you need such large number of blocks in the block table. isn't it more likely that this number to be applicable to block inserts rather than for block definitions?
best regards

hi chudomir,
yes i need to add so many blocks, some times it will be in lakhs also. and for every block i am adding an insert in the model space. but after around 69000 the add is failing. ??
and also i am seeing the svcs object still holding the memory after calling oduninitialize(). i am not seeing the memory decline in the taskmanager after releasing every thing. ??
thanks in advance,

hi hari,
well, if so, then some of the dwgdirect developers should help. but i think acad applications are not designed to work with so many blocks. i would recommend to think of some custom object, which will be able to store such large information. if you add only one insert for each of your blocks, then why it is needed to be a block at all?
as to the oduninitialize problem, first check one of the dwgdirect examples - whether the refcount is set to 0 in a common example. if so, then check whether you have stored the smart pointer to your services more than once somewhere.
best regards

in dwg r13+ number of items in tables is stored as int32 but in dwg r12 table items are referenced by int16 index. so in r12 file number of table entries is limited by 65535.
do you have problems saving to r12 dwg?

hi
i am using oddb::vac14 version to save. after some 69000 blocks, it is abruptly coming out on add() call to a block table saying "automation error, object disconnected from its clients" even oderror object is not reporting any error. ??
thanks in advance,
